Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine
 Please FULL VIEW else the shading looks messed up. So, this was a present for my friend Kt for her birthday. This is definitely my fave portrait so far. Loved the photo and just had to draw it. The hairline is a little messed up since the photo cut the top of his hair off and I had to guess at it. The large blank strips in his hair are where he had blonde highlights and since my portrait style is light shading, it would have been hard to show these any other way. Apologies for the terrible quality of the photo, again, this was taken with my phone camera and I no longer have the original to scan. Time taken: 4.5 hours main picture, 1 hour + for the hair, then 20 mins or so here and there adding to the shading (in science lessons  ).Used: HB, 2B pencil, 4 and 6 B for the eyes and other very dark shaded areas. |
